What Do Men Think of Respect In A Relationship and How Is It Different From Women?

Believe it or not, men do value respect in a relationship. This is something that is very important to men. They want to be respected and most of the time they will show the same courteously for the woman in their life as well. Having respect is one of the main goals that any couple should have. Respect is going to build the main foundation in a relationship and it is important to have these goals met in any type of lasting relationship.

1) Men want to be respected

Men need respect just as women do. Usually when a man is going to receive respect from his mate, he will give it in return. It is a compromise situation and it is very important to be serious about when you are thinking of any type of commitment. You need to build up respect. It is something that is earned and not just automatically given to someone. In order to have respect for your partner you need to build a relationship and feel good about the progress that you are achieving.

2) Men think they are the masters of their domain

Many men do believe that they are the masters in the relationship. This is not always the case however it does happen. There are some men that are very arrogant and think that they are the only ones that need or demand to have respect from the relationship.

However, it is important for women to take control in this type of situation. You need to make sure that they understand and realize that they are not the only ones that need to have respect from the relationship and that you will not put up with this type of behavior.

3) Respect is different for men than women

Do you know that men and women sometimes look at respect differently? They do not always share the same views for respect. It is important to make sure that you as a woman get the respect that you deserve because you have to have respect in order to give it.

If there is no respect from the relationship, you will not be happy and eventually the relationship will end. It is important for a man to know that he has to earn respect and give it back too.

Sometimes you will find the man that is completely honest and will give the woman the respect that they need. Any woman should hold on to on to this man. This is not always going to be the case and it is very rare for a man to show respect from the start. However, it is something that should be given to any woman and the same for any man.

Some men think they deserve all the respect in the relationship. They are still living in the old times and have not caught up to the reality of today yet.

Respect is something that you need to earn and you should give to others as well. Having respect in a relationship is very important and can be the determining factor for most couples.

5) Earning trust and respect is important

Many men know that they have to earn the feelings that they have in a relationship. It is important to understand that they are the ones that have to do the earning too. Men have to know that they have to give as much as they take.

Respect comes in many shapes and forms. There are different ways to earn respect and being a gentleman is one of them. It is important for a man to be considerate and show respect just as he would like to have for himself. There is nothing wrong with giving respect and the sooner a man knows this the better off the relationship will be.

6) Mold Him

If you have a good man that you love and you want to be with however he is not showing much respect, do not give up. You will find the right ways to get him to respect you and all that you do. You should keep working at him and make him understand that he is not the only one that needs to have respect in the relationship.

You can show him how you want to be treated and how you demand for it. You need to give off the assumption that you are not going to tolerate disrespectful behavior and that you want more from him. After he sees that he is hurting you and not getting anywhere with this type of treatment he should change for the better.

Give it time and do not give up. True love can withstand the test of anything and this is one of them. However women should not compromise respect. Men do not realize how important it is sometimes so keep after him.
